Venue

The IFAS5 school will be hosted on the IUCAA campus, a compact location offering all the facilities for the accommodation and for the work. The students will have numerous opportutinies to meet and exchange with the reasearch staff and the students and postdocs working on the site.

The accommodation, included in the registration fees, will be arranged in double rooms.

Visa.

Short stay (tourist) visas are required for most foreigners. We invite you to consulte the site of the Indian consulate in your countries, and anticipate the application, since their processing may be long.

Note that if you enter India at one of the main international aiports (Delhi, Mumbai), you may have the option to opt for an e-visa. This can save you sending your passport to the consulate, and this may be easier and faster (be careful, however, to follow strictly the instruction and to send high quality scans of your documents. The photo must follow precise specifications, and in particular, care should be taken no to cut the hair at the top of the photo -- some space must be seen at the top).

Arrival/departure.

You may arrive directly at Pune international airport, but there are only a very few international flights landing there.

Most commonly you may arrive at either Delhi or Mumbai, and take a connecting flight to Pune. Alternatively, from Mumbai you can take a train or a limousine service.

The school will provide you assistance to/from Pune airport, and possibly from/to Mumbai airport.
